Outreach Ministries
Outreach Ministries were formed to meet the needs of the community. These ministries do not cost anything to
participate in, except your time. Church of the Risen Lord encourages all of its members to participate in one
or many of these ministries.
Homeless Ministry
The objective of the Homeless Ministry is to spread the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through fellowship
with men and women who have fallen on hard times. Members visit Downtown monthly to distribute snacks, tracts and drinks
while they talk, pray and listen to the people. Homeless Ministry members hope to make a difference in the life of each soul
who needs love and encouragement. In addition, every Sunday morning members of the ministry return to personally invite the
patrons of Downtown to attend Sunday services.
Nursing Home Ministry
The purpose of the Nursing Home Ministry is to share the Word of God with the residents of Lanier Terrace and San Jose Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The men and women of this ministry are dedicated to sharing His love through the Word. The goal of the Nursing Home Ministry is
to bring a message of encouragement and hope through spirit-filled services and fellowship.
Prison Ministry
The objective of the Prison Ministry is to teach the Word of God to inmates at Lawtey Correctional Institution, Lawtey, FL and
at other local jail facilities. Often times the spiritual, emotional and practical needs of incarcerated individuals are
overlooked. Our goal as a prison ministry is therefore two-fold; to teach the Word of God that will bring deliverance to the
lives of individuals thereby winning them to the kingdom of God, and to eventually provide services that will help them
transition back into society after their period of incarceration is over.
